Job Description

Parametrix, a leading engineering, planning, environmental sciences and construction management firm, is seeking a SURVEYOR II/III to join our Boise, Idaho location in support of our Intermountain Survey Group with locations in Boise, Pullman, and Spokane, Washington. 


Professional: LSIT/LSI or PLS with 5+ years of experience or equivalent experience and training, looking for a position which combines field  and  office work and provides daily support to our professional surveyors.

Experienced: You will have the ability to make a sound, independent analysis in regard to boundary surveys and you are able to work independently in the field and have a solid understanding of survey instruments, robotic total stations and GPS methodologies. You have strong skills in researching sources for control monumentation, conducting records research and are able to interpret and check construction plans for site and building improvements. You have survey field experience working on transportation projects, ALTA surveys, boundary surveys and construction layout.  You will have a solid understanding of work flow for checking and processing survey field notes, and AutoCAD Civil 3-D skills, or MicroStation/InRoads, specifically your proficiency with planimetrics and surfaces, and ability to independently draft a variety of mapping deliverables and prepare staking calculations. You are familiar with horizontal and vertical datums.

The successful candidate must be team oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have an incredible work ethic.

Work ethic: The Survey team works hard and is looking for someone to effectively deliver projects both in the field and in the office. You are self-motivated and work well as a 1-person field crew, but also thrive in a team environment. You enjoy a variety of challenging projects, work environments and weather conditions.  Travel may be required as necessary to support projects.
