Job Description

Parametrix, a leading engineering, planning, environmental sciences and construction management firm, is seeking a SURVEYOR II to join our growing Pullman, Washington office. While our Pullman office is relatively new to Parametrix, the local team has been committed to the community for over 30 years.


Professional: 2+ years of survey experience as a party chief or equivalent experience and training with interest in joining a well-established team of Surveyors in a role which will focus on field work for multidisciplinary projects. Candidates interested in obtaining their LSIT preferred.

Experienced: You will have the ability to make a sound, independent analysis in regard to boundary surveys and you are able to work independently in the field and have a solid understanding of survey instruments, robotic total stations and GPS methodologies. You have strong skills in researching sources for control monumentation, conducting records research and are able to interpret and check construction plans for site and building improvements. You have survey field experience working on transportation projects, ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, cadastral and construction layout.  You will have a solid understanding of work flow for checking and processing survey field notes, familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3-D skills, specifically your proficiency with planimetrics and surfaces, and ability to independently draft a variety of mapping deliverables and prepare staking calculations. You are familiar with horizontal and vertical datums.

Relationship & Communication Focused: Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, team player and you thrive on developing rapport with others and quality delivery. The successful candidate must be have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an incredible work ethic.

Work ethic: The Survey team works hard and is looking for someone to effectively deliver projects both in the field and in the office. You are self-motivated, but also thrive in a team environment. You enjoy a variety of challenging projects, work environments and weather conditions.  Travel may be required as necessary to other Parametrix office locations and /or support projects.
